Seam tags

Seam tags are garment tags that are sewn to the garment seams. Prior to being sewn in, they are usually folded in half.

Sometimes they have inserted ends (such as a hanging loop). Alternatively, the proposed (printed or pressed) pattern is placed on both sides of the single-layer tags. They are made by classic, perpendicular cutting of a finished strip with a proposed (woven/printed or pressed) design and, when applicable, cuttings folded in half. Seam tags are usually sewn on the reverses side of the clothes. The final edge alteration is thus even more important in the case of the seam tags than in the case of surface tags. In order to make sure the textile tags do not scratch skin, edges of the seam tags are treated by ultrasound instead of the standard heat sealing. The edges of the textile tags can be joined after being folded or inserted by weaving already during the production process. As a result, small pockets, enclosed from three sides and without sharp edges, are thus created. Seam tags are most commonly sewn to garment seams on the following garment parts: back by the neck (on the reverse side), side (on the reverse as well as the right side), rear side of pants (on the reverse side).
